A lovely Asian wedding

I recently went to an Asian friend's wedding in London and was blown away by the elaborate arrangements the Asian wedding catering company that was contracted to plan the ceremony had done. I had heard a lot about the opulence of Indian weddings, but I simply wasn't ready for this level of splendour. The wedding was an unbelievable explosion of colour, with songs, dances, traditional rituals, and festivities interwoven.

The wedding's catering was excellent. There were delicious delicacies from France, Lebanon, China, as well as a vast array of cuisines from various regions of India. For those with special religious duties, there was also a counter serving halal meals. The groom's father informed me that this station's cuisine was expertly made by halal caterers in accordance with strict religious guidelines. The halal catering menu includes Afghan and Mughlai cuisine as well as Punjabi food like "murg makhani," which was made using halal meat.

Let's now discuss the wedding's location. The wedding took place at a stunning castle, which gave the event a regal feel. The driveway was lined with a plush red carpet leading to the front entrance, which was manned by two individuals in typical sepoy garb. The interior of the castle had awesome-looking hidden lighting as well as a sizable crystal chandelier in the centre of the ceiling. Curtains made of vibrant silks, sparkling with sequins and golden tassels, were used to adorn the walls.

The elegant guests mingled among the beautifully arranged food stations, piling food on their plates while gushing about the wonderful wedding arrangements. I had to take a dish and sit down with them. The Asian wedding catering company's serving staff was really helpful and dressed in traditional garb. They told me some intriguing facts about each dish as I approached the buffet table to help myself. The 'roghan josh' and 'biryani rice' were my favourites.

I watched the paid entertainment artists perform while enjoying the food. Along with Bollywood dancers and a fire blower, there was a musical ensemble performing shehnai, sitar, and tabla, as well as other traditional Indian instruments. To the sound of loud drums, the bride and groom soon entered the space and took their seats on regal thrones. The bride was elegantly attired, and the couple sported substantial floral garlands around their necks. Soon, a queue of visitors formed to wish the couple well, bless them, and present them with gifts.

When it came to making the necessary arrangements for the wedding, the wedding planner had given it their all. Family members and guests were clearly delighted with the offerings made to them by their wedding planners, as evidenced by the grins on their faces. Even I was 'wowed' by the elaborate wedding plans, and I hope to have a similarly lavish wedding when I decide to be married sometime in the following year. I have no doubt that for a very long time to come, everyone in the neighbourhood will be talking about this Asian wedding.
